The Autonomous Sailboat
The Autonomous Sailboat is made by Marine Robotics, LLC, led by Walter Holemans in Maryland, supported by Joseph Curcio in Maine. An initial goal for building this boat is to provide a long-duration remote water sensing system to support the oyster aquaculture industry in Chesapeake Bay. The goal of the MIT team is to provide autonomy software to support this mission and autonomous sailing in general.
