Function:

Goby-MOOS application used in the LAMSS Virtual Ocean for simulating a CTD sensor by extracting the 'current' salinity and temperature values at the sensor location from a 4D (time,Lat,Lon,Depth) NetCdf representation of the temporal and spatial distribution of the temperature and salinity. Supports NetCDF formats for several modeling frameworks, including HYCOM/NCOM, MSEAS, and databases such as GDEM.
