Talk-24: Integration of Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) into MOOS-IvP for Search and Rescue

The Multi-Domain Human-Robot Teaming Sandbox (MDO-HuRT-S) at the United States Military Academy (USMA) has successfully integrated the SeaRobotics SR-Surveyor M1.8 surface maritime robot. This presentation will describe the effort to upgrade and integrate the latest version of PX4 on a Blue UAS certified quadcopter. This effort is to move away from using remotely piloted commercial off the shelf (COTS) sUAS platforms to enable integration of sUAS into maritime search and rescue.
