Caden O'Donnell, Hannah Yanover, Victoria Harding-Bradley, Gervey Mosquera, Mike Soffos, John James, Michael Novitzky
The Multi-Domain Human-Robot Teaming Sandbox (MDO-HuRT-S) at the United States Military Academy has been integrating maritime surface robots into search and rescue (SAR) activities using camera and object detection. The latest results will describe leveraging of commercial Kracken SDR direction of arrival solution which provides a resilient solution to the point of origin of a radio signal, such as a location beacon on a man overboard. This is ongoing research looking to integrate multi-modal sensors in the form of cameras (EO + Thermal) and radio signals along with autonomous maritime robots for improved SAR.
