On Site Information
MOOS-DAWG 2024 wil be held on the MIT campus in the
The Ray and Maria Stata Center.
Meetings will be held in rooms 32-141 off the main floor of the Stata Center, a.k.a., the
"student street". The student street has many features visitors may find useful:
- Open wifi access (ESSID = StataGuest)
- The Forbes Cafe serving breakfast (730-1030), lunch (1100-300pm) and Coffee+Snacks (730-5pm)
- A visitors information desk
- An ATM
- Many benches and tables with power and ethernet jacks.
Meals
Lunch on Day 1 is not included in the registration fee. Lunch on Day 2 will be at the MIT Sailing Pavilion as part of DemoDay. However there are a fair number of lunch choices below $15 nearby. The Forbes Cafe in the Stata Center serves sandwiches and drinks. They have limited capacity. We recommend a place nearby without wait service to keep lunch short. Four recommendations are:
- The Koch Institute Cafeteria
- Sebastians
- Chipotle
- Dig
You can find each on a map provided here.
Parking
There is no public parking available on the MIT campus. The closest public parking available is at the Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel in Kendall Square. There is also a small public lot on the corner of Vassar Street and Massachusetts Avenue (map).
