Talk-16: C2CrossUxV Experimentation Summary (2017-present)
Scott R. Sideleau, Christopher W. Gagner, Matthew Ferro, Dr. Michael L. Incze, Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport RI
NUWC Newport’s Command & Control of Cross-domain Unmanned Vehicles (C2CrossUxV) team present their operations research that applies open standards to the common control problem set. The use of MOOS-IvP is a critical enabler; as it has permitted the rapid development of a lightweight software stack that can quickly deploy the Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS) to any unmanned vehicle capable of running MOOS-IvP to enable general capability (e.g. health and status monitoring) by an operator at an ONR-developed standards-based control segment. Experiences will be shared from several field demonstrations: ANTX ’17, REP ’18, ANTX ’18, and CDC3. A preview of objectives in ANTX ’19 will also be disclosed.
