Talk-35: Title: TicSync - Smart Timing and Its Embedding in MOOS

This talk will explain the timing synchronisation mechanism that piggy-backs on the MOOS Communications mechanism and a new timing algorithm (TicSync) which has been developed and implemented in MOOS to enable outstanding clock synchronisation which outperforms NTP. The algorithm is well supported by theoretical performance bounds and has applications both data time stamping and sensor data processing.
