Application: pIverBenchTest
Function:
The pIverBenchTest app is simulation utility that is designed to help the end user find any incurred delays in the backseat-to-frontseat interface by randomly toggling the DESIRED_* variables, usually generated by pHelmIvP, every 1/AppTick. When running the payload autonomy interface MOOS module, iOceanServerComms, in parallel with this app, the end user is able to monitor the activation of actuator surfaces on the Iver2 platform following a change in the DESIRED_* variables and deduce whether or not the frontseat control software is introducing latency. It has been helpful in troubleshooting bottlenecks with the vehicle manufacturer in the past.
