Talk-22: CI/CD for MOOS-IvP: Mission Test Harnesses and Takeaways for Downstream Development

Charles Benjamin

McGill University, Centre for Intelligent Machines

MOOS-IvP has historically lacked a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline covering its libraries, applications, and behaviors. This talk introduces the new pipeline, explains how it validates changes across the MOOS-IvP ecosystem, and discusses its implications for both core development and downstream users. Beyond the project’s own infrastructure, the presentation will highlight reusable techniques for building CI/CD-style test harnesses for derivative MOOS-IvP work. These practices can theoretically provide a step change for developers interested in integrating upstream releases faster and more confidently by developing comprehensive regression harnesses for their own derivative works.
