MIT Autonomous Kayak Wiki Main Page
The MIT autonomous kayaks are manufactured by Robotic Marine Systems in Gray Maine. MIT presently has two of them on campus and they are shared assets between the MIT Laboratory for Autonomous Marine Sensing Systems (LAMSS), and the Marine Robotics group.
- The two MIT kayaks are named Dee and Elanor.
- This page is mostly viewable to all, without a password. Students wishing to contribute to and edit this page will need a password. The same password is needed to view the network sensitive content of these pages.
- The purpose of this page is to help new users get started with the autonomous kayaks and the MOOS-IvP autonomy software.
At MIT the software on the kayaks are comprised of (a) the general purpose MOOS-IvP autonomy software, and (b) some software modules more specific to the kayaks. More info is provided on the software overview page.
